Annual gifts made by dedicated alumni have always been a vital part of the financing of a Sewanee education. Some alumni choose to make a gift that is unrestricted, that can be used for what Sewanee needs most. That kind of gift really helps undergird the Sewanee Experience in changing times and economic conditions. We recognize, however, that many people are called to make an impact on specific programs and meet specific needs on the Mountain. As a vital part of the Stronger Truer Sewanee campaign, the annual fund has been renamed the Sewanee Fund and has been refocused, so that donors are able to direct their gifts to the programs and initiatives that are most meaningful to them.
You can give to scholarships, faculty development, student research, specific athletic teams, the arts, theological programs for the laity: in short, any aspect of Sewanee that is particularly important to you. That is the new Sewanee Fund, a reformulation we believe will allow you to have a powerful impact on Sewanee, while enabling you to meet your own philanthropic goals.
If you are interested in a gift that goes beyond current-use dollars, named endowed internship funds begin at the $100,000 level. Named endowed scholarship funds begin at the $150,000 level for the College and $75,000 for the School of Theology.
